New Tachograph Requirements from 1 July 2026

Could the new regulations affect your business?

From 1 July 2026, new regulations will apply to certain vehicles and vehicle combinations with a gross vehicle weight exceeding 2.5 tonnes operating in cross-border road transport within the European Union.

Companies using light commercial vehicles for international transport should therefore assess whether the new requirements apply to their operations.

Depending on the type of transport activity, additional requirements may apply, including:

  • Tachographs

  • Driving and rest times

  • Driver records

  • Documentation requirements

  • International roadside inspections

Check whether your business needs to take action

The new regulations do not apply to every vehicle or every business.

If you are unsure whether your vehicles or transport operations fall within the scope of the new requirements, we will be happy to help you with an initial assessment.
